Debut of NEW ‘CYGMI?’ Segment: “Let’s Do Launch” at the Opening of The Modern Beauty Company for HFW

Happy New Year! It seems like we haven’t spoken in ages and many of you have no doubt noticed some inactivity on here. Now you may be thinking, “Happy New Year? This is February! Where the heck has he been for the last 2 months?” No, I wasn’t abducted by aliens! Lol. During the colder months, socialites and us ‘celeb types’ typically trade in our Ugg snowboots and Gap scarves to jaunt off somewhere exotic for a retreat to warmer climates on what we call a ‘winter solstice.’ And if you’ve really got it going on, one of your dear socialite BFFs may be a real sweetie and pick up the entire bill just for the sheer enjoyment of your star company. Thanks Babs and Mitzy!! Well after some much need R&R following my exhausting schedule for HFIG’s 2010 Fall HFW, I am now ready for…what else but a little summer va-ca! But wait. I asked myself how I in good conscious could just leave all of my many loyal fans hanging who have been begging me for more behind-the-scenes footage from HFW. Seek and you shall…GET! So my team and I went deep into the secret vault (next door to the Batcave) and dug out some exclusive, never-before-seen footage of my coverage of Houston’s first ever Fashion Week.

It would have been hard to top Sunday’s off-the-chain opening event with America’s Next Top Model contestant and history making all-black Italian Vogue issue centerfold, Miss Toccara Jones. So we didn’t! (see video below in previous post) But we definitely kept the party going strong on Monday as we were honored to be asked to host our first ‘CYGMI?’ segment of “Let’s Do Launch,”  celebrating with ‘Martinis & Makeovers’ at the launch of Houston’s new full-service, luxe beauty bar, The Modern Beauty Company The posh crowd turned out in full force to sip clever concoctions, get ‘good face’ from on-staff beauty consultants and to support  Houston Area Women's Center and The Houston Burned and Crippled Children’s Fund. Good thing they had a great AC system cause when Willie and the boys from the Houston Fire Department agreed in good fun to pose for pics shirtless on the red carpet with some of their adoring female fans….well let’s just say there were more fires started that night than put out.
